שמחת תורה

Simchat Torah 2026

The day the yearly reading of the Torah ends and begins again, with the scrolls carried round in dancing.

In 2026 it falls on Saturday 3 October in Masorti (in Israel) and Reform practice, and on Sunday 4 October in Masorti (outside Israel) practice.

Like every day of the Jewish year, it begins at sunset the evening before.
