Prayer times for your website
A small box of today’s times for a mosque’s or a synagogue’s own website: the five prayers, or the Jewish day’s hours with Shabbat, for your place, worked out in each visitor’s browser as ActivePray works them out on the phone.
Free, with nothing to sign up for. Choose below, and copy the code into your page.
Nothing is tracked.
The box sets no cookie, keeps nothing and counts nothing. It loads two small files from activepray.com and works the times out in your visitor’s browser, from where the sun is over the place you chose.
It keeps itself current.
The day turns at midnight in your place’s own time, the next time to come is lit, and a change of the clocks is taken care of. There is nothing to update.
Your site stays as it is.
The box draws itself apart from your page, so your styles do not reach into it and it does not reach into them. It fits the width it is given, up to that of a narrow column.
The line at its foot.
Under the times is a line that links to your place’s page on this site, where the times for any day are. Please leave it in: it is how ActivePray, made by one person, is found.
Your own times come first.
These are times worked out from the sun by the convention you choose, and estimates like any. Where your community keeps its own, the iqamah or the candle lighting it announces, those are the ones to give.
In ActivePray, every prayer comes at its hour, with reminders, on each member’s own iPhone.
ActivePray on the App StoreThe times for any day, city by city, are on Prayer times; questions to kastlefive@icloud.com.
