Yom Kippur 2026

The Day of Atonement, which closes the Ten Days of Awe: return and repentance, and a full day’s fast.

In 2026 it falls on Monday 21 September in Masorti and Reform practice, and on Tuesday 22 September in Karaite practice.

Like every day of the Jewish year, it begins at sunset the evening before. Karaite dates are projected, and may move a day once the new moon is sighted.
