يوم عرفة

Day of Arafah 2028

The great day of the Hajj, when the pilgrims stand in prayer on the plain of Arafat.

In 2028 it falls on Thursday 4 May, in Sunni and Shia practice alike.

Like every day of the Hijri year, it begins at sunset the evening before. Hijri dates are projected, and may move a day once the new moon is sighted.
