Jumada al-Ula 1450 AH
The fifth month, with no holy day in either branch’s year.
Begins on Wednesday 20 September 2028 and runs 29 days, to Wednesday 18 October 2028.
Projected from the Umm al-Qura calendar, as ActivePray reckons it. A Hijri month truly begins when the new crescent is seen, so it can open a day either side of this. Like every day of the Hijri year, each day begins at sunset the evening before.
No holy day
Neither branch’s year keeps a holy day in Jumada al-Ula: a month of ordinary weeks and Friday prayer.
The White Days
Three days of recommended fasting each lunar month, the Ayyām al-Bīḍ, when the moon is full. In Jumada al-Ula 1450: Monday 2 October 2028, Tuesday 3 October 2028 and Wednesday 4 October 2028.
In ActivePray, the Hijri date stands at the top of every day, with each prayer at its hour and the holy days and fasts of the year, in Sunni and in Twelver Shia practice.
